This
past week I talked about how to lift color and mistakes in your watercolor
paintings.
Another trick for lifting mistakes is to use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
This
magic eraser was initially designed to lift stains off of walls and household
items.
However,
several watercolorists have discovered that if it can lift crayon and a child's
painted hand prints from walls, it just might lift paint from paper.
And it does!
Just tear a small piece off of the eraser, dip it in water and erase away.
The
eraser is to be used gently though.
I
would recommend using it sparingly and not to scrub back to white (unless it is
a pale color you are lifting).
It
can be abrasive and scrubbing excessively hard will ruin and might tear your
paper.
I would also recommend using the original formula instead of all the other kinds that might have additional chemicals.
