The
best way to transfer your image is to use a ballpoint pen.
It
has a nice tip for the fine lines.
You
can see where you have drawn.
And
if you use different color pens, you can use your photocopy to transfer a
couple of times.

There
are several brands of transfer/graphite paper out there.
Some
are better than others.
If
you want to buy transfer paper, just make sure it doesn't have any wax in it.
My favorite brands are Sally's and Saral transfer paper.
There
is also a simple way to make transfer paper.
Take
a piece of tracing paper (not to be confused with transfer).
Put
some tape around the edges so the paper doesn't tear.
Now
rub a piece of graphite on it (a nice soft pencil also works).
The
rub it into the paper with a tissue.
Now
you have transfer paper.
